Bungalows Beach Estate is situated on the historic houseboat estate originally built for Barron Hilton on the Upper Matecumbe Key. Rich in history, this 5-acre property at 101 Carroll Street has entertained many dignitaries over the years, including Presidents Harry S. Truman and George H.W. Bush. Transformed now into the Bungalows Boathouse Beach Estate featuring six individual bungalows and three suite style units to accommodate up to fourteen guests.

The centerpiece of the estate is a 60-foot 1948 Chris Craft Houseboat, which had been custom built for hotelier Baron Conrad Hilton. In 1960, Hurricane Donna washed the houseboat, then named Bay Bourne, onto the middle of Preston Street. It was later rolled on telephone poles back to the place where it sits today, permanently anchored into a foundation on our beachfront property.
